  • Final Depth Chart of Wyoming Spring Football Announced
    The Wyoming Cowboy football team concluded spring football drills on April 21, and the final depth chart of spring football was released on Monday. The depth chart lists six returning starters on defense and six on offense, sitting atop their positions entering fall camp.
  • Gold Team Defeats White Team 20-7 as Wyoming Football Completes 2012 Spring Drills
    The Gold Team defeated the White Team by a score of 20-7 on Saturday in Wyoming's Annual Spring Game to bring to a close a month-long period of spring drills for the Wyoming Cowboy Football program. The Pokes opened spring practice on March 21 and concluded on Saturday with their 15th and final practice of the spring.
  • Wyoming Spring Game to Kickoff at 2 p.m. Saturday
    The Wyoming Cowboy football team will conclude spring practice this Saturday with the annual Spring Game. Wyoming's Spring Game will kick off at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, from Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium.
  • Football Fun Day to be Held Prior to Saturday's Spring Game
    Prior to this coming Saturday's Brown and Gold Spring Game, the Cowboy Football team will be hosting a Football Fun Day for children eighth grade and under. The Football Fun Day will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in War Memorial Stadium, and will serve as a fundraiser to help defray travel costs for the "Wyoming In Haiti" trip.
  • Wyoming Football Begins Final Week of Spring Practice
    On Monday, the Wyoming Cowboys began their final week of spring practice with only the second indoor practice of 2012 spring drills. Due to the beautiful spring weather, the Cowboys have practiced outside 10 of the first 12 spring practices. Monday's practice was the final full-padded practice prior to Saturday's Brown and Gold Spring Game.
  • Wyoming Completes Fourth Week of Spring Football on Friday
    Friday saw the Wyoming Cowboys complete their fourth week of spring football practice. The Pokes will have only four spring practices remaining next week, including the Annual Brown and Gold Spring Game on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m. in War Memorial Stadium.
  • Wyoming Defense Wins Second Spring Scrimmage by One Point in Sudden Death
    For head coach Dave Christensen you couldn't have asked for much more in a scrimmage than what he saw on Wednesday in War Memorial Stadium. After the defense took an early lead, the offense fought back to tie the scrimmage at 63-63 and force a one-play, sudden death situation to conclude the scrimmage.
  • Season Tickets on Sale for 2012 Wyoming Football Season
    Season tickets are currently on sale for the 2012 Wyoming Cowboy football season. The Cowboys are coming off their best season in 14 years, posting an 8-5 record in 2011, finishing in third place in the Mountain West and earning a trip to the 2011 Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
  • First Depth Chart of Spring Released by Wyoming Football
    The first depth chart of 2012 spring drills was released for the Wyoming Cowboys on Monday, April 9. Head coach Dave Christensen and his staff released the depth chart following evaluation of their first full scrimmage that took place prior to Easter break.
  • Wyoming Football Scrimmages for Over 100 Plays on Wednesday
    The University of Wyoming football team conducted its first extended scrimmage of spring camp on Wednesday, April 4 in War Memorial Stadium. The Pokes scrimmaged for 102 plays, lasting one hour and 30 minutes. The defense defeated the offense 72-41, utilizing a special scoring system that awarded both the offense and defense points for specific plays.
  • Wyoming Fans Invited to First of Three Spring Scrimmages on Wednesday
    Fans will get an opportunity to watch the Wyoming Cowboys in their first extended scrimmage of spring camp on Wednesday, April 4. Wednesday's practice will begin at 3:30 p.m., with the scrimmage portion of practice to begin at approximately 4:10 p.m.
  • Where Are They Now
    Trenton Franz was one of the most accomplished student-athletes in University of Wyoming Football history. During his career from 2000-04, he made his mark at the UW as both an outstanding football player and an outstanding student. A native of Fort Collins, Colo., Franz started at center for the Cowboy Football team for 43 consecutive games, beginning with the fifth game of his redshirt freshman season of 2001 against New Mexico through his final game as a Cowboy, the 2004 Pioneer Purevision Las Vegas Bowl.
  • "Wyoming in Haiti" Trip to Benefit Children of Haiti
    The Wyoming Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is organizing a "Wyoming in Haiti" trip to take place May 7-13, 2012. A group of 25 University of Wyoming football, volleyball and soccer student-athletes and coaches will be traveling to Haiti to help Haitian youth.
  • Cowboys Practice in Full Pads for the First Time This Spring
    After three days of limited contact to begin spring practice, the Wyoming Cowboys donned full pads for the first time this spring on Wednesday. Wednesday's practice was also the first practice of spring that included live scrimmaging. The Pokes finished Wednesday's practice with approximately 60 plays from scrimmage.
  • Wyoming Football Will Take Summer Camps Around the State of Wyoming
    This summer the Dave Christensen Football Camps presented by Infinity Power and Controls will be going on the road around the state of Wyoming. Christensen and his staff are implementing a new format for their camps in 2012 to try and reach more youth campers, both boys and girls, in the state of Wyoming.
